Work Force Development
The National Public Health Institute is responsible for implementing various public health workforce development programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in public health surveillance, outbreak investigations, emergency preparedness and response, one health approach, and public health action implementation, among other areas. The main goal of this service is to ensure the country has highly skilled public health professionals and adequate surge capacity to handle all kinds of public health threats. To achieve this, the NPHI implements various training programs and activities through the Division of Public Health Workforce Development. These include:
