Risk Communication and Community Engagement serves a crucial function in the National Public Health Institute by ensuring clear and timely communication of health risks to the public and fostering community participation. Key responsibilities include developing communication strategies, organizing community engagement events, disseminating information through various channels, providing training, conducting research, and collaborating with individuals, partners and communities. In addition, RCCE leverages on locally generated data to develop and implement plans used in preventing and mitigating risks and hazards. Overall, the department plays a vital role in promoting public health and building trust and cooperation within communities.
